Exchange & Refund Policy

At Mzansify, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights regarding exchanges and refunds in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA).


1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

In terms of the CPA, you have the right to cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

  • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or incorrect

Once we receive and inspect the item, a refund will be processed within 7–14 business days.


2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is:

  • Defective

  • Damaged

  • Not what you ordered

You may return it within 6 months of delivery, as provided for under the CPA.

You may choose one of the following:

  • A full refund

  • A replacement

  • A repair (where applicable)

In these cases:

  • Mzansify will cover the return shipping costs

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method


3. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for eligible items if:

  • The request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • The item is unused and in original packaging

Exchanges are subject to product availability.
If the replacement item costs more, the price difference must be paid.
If it costs less, the difference will be refunded.


4. Items Not Eligible for Refunds or Exchanges

The following items cannot be refunded or exchanged, unless defective:

  • Items marked as final sale / clearance

  • Personalised or custom-made items

  • Items that have been used, worn, damaged, or altered by the customer

This does not affect your rights regarding defective goods under the CPA.


5. Refund Method

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Processing time: 7–14 business days after approval

  • Bank processing times may vary depending on your payment provider


6. How to Request a Refund or Exchange

To request a refund or exchange, please contact us at:

Include:

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (if the item is damaged or defective)


7. Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns

  • We cover return shipping for defective or incorrect items

We recommend using a trackable courier service. Mzansify is not responsible for items lost in transit.


8. CPA Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa.
